ABOUT US
SMOKERSSTOPSHOP
offers a wealth of information and advice on the widest variety of
stop smoking methods and aids, alongside a shopfront for quality
smoking cessation products.
It is aimed at anyone thinking of stopping smoking or cutting
down, and particulary at those looking for an alternative to the
standard drug-based solutions, ie NRT (Nicotine
Patches), Zyban and Rimonabant.
Why...? Because massive marketing and promotion of NRT has
all but eclipsed many other very good smoking cessation products and
methods. Information about them is scant and usually unsatisfactory.
It tends to be presented either as full-on advertising or else it is
largely dismissive, laced with phrases such as, "There is no
evidence to suggest..."
We aim to redress the balance by offering informed and
unbiased information on, and access to, the full spectrum of stop
smoking products and methods, not just NRT.

A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
An ex-smoker myself, I have a long and slightly embarrassing
history of failed attempts at quitting, including a number of
seemingly-successful attempts, only to be followed by relapse months
or even years later! But eventually I did manage it, the key for me
being the realisation that I could not have 'just one' cigarette.
I have since come to specialise in smoking cessation in my work
and I know now that for most people, becoming a non-smoker is
usually not just a matter of flicking some mental switch, its
something you have to learn - a process rather than an event. But
the process doesn't have to take years like it did for me. It can
be greatly accelerated if you go into it fully informed.
Hopefully, all the information you could possibly need is
contained in this site, so that for you the process of becoming a
non-smoker can start and STOP here.
With all good wishes
